About Us

It’s time to see the world through a different lens – No Eyes Needed is a digital hub for the blindness community, created with the intention of sharing ideas, discussion, and resources with the increasingly sighted world around us. We exist to encourage, equip, and empower individuals to blur the lines of expectations and perceptions, while sharing their story with a growing community of blind, low-vision, and sighted peers. Our website aims to post articles and resources that will encourage and inspire readers to see the world in an entirely different light.

No Eyes Needed was founded by Justin Romack, a blind musician, social media/digital marketing consultant, blogger, and techno-geek. When Justin lost a majority of his sight in 2008, he quickly lost confidence in himself and his abilities, and needed a community to connect him with resources, one-on-one discussion, and stories of encouragement, to help him shatter self-imposed and societal barriers from his blindness. Justin found community and counsel through various social media avenues, but knew that a more structured, central hub, needed to be established. As he began sharing resources and ideas with sighted peers, Justin discovered that most were, often, unaware of the opportunities and possibilities that our increasingly technological society could offer the blindness community.

Justin started No Eyes Needed in order to be a resource for those in the blindness community, but more importantly, a visible, two-way communication platform, between those with and without sight, to increase awareness, educate, and spark discussion on how each of us navigates the ever-growing, visually complex world we interact with every day.

If you have an idea for an article, story, or resource to be shared through No Eyes Needed, please contact Justin Romack via e-mail at info@noeyesneeded.com.
